Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of pets do you care for?
I am experienced caring for all types of pets, however my clients are primarily domestic animals - primarily cats and dogs. I personally have dogs, a cat, a snake, a Leopard gecko, a 55 gallon tank stocked with black telescopes [black moors], six one gallon tanks with 1 betta per tank, a parakeet and two rabbits!
Why should I hire a pet sitter?
Your pet is most comfortable in familiar settings (your home!) By hiring a pet sitter, you can allow your pet to continue enjoying the home he or she has come to know. This alleviates the stress and anxiety of a boarding/kennel environment. If you already have plans to board your pets, I do offer a drop off and pick up service. The fee is $25 under the term "Pet Taxi." Pet Taxi fees do not include fees incurred at the kennel/boarding facility, or veterinarian.
Can you administer medication(s)?
Yes, I can administer oral medications for no extra charge.
What are the earliest and latest times that you are able to visit?
My schedule can be worked around my other job. Therefore, I can make visits at practically ANY time. This is something that we will discuss, so don't be shy if you'd like me to visit your pets and check your property at a super random hour that you may think is crazy to ask. My schedule is all over the place!
Who cares for my pets?
I do. I am the only person that will be caring for your pets. I have no other employees, so you will always know exactly who is in your home at all times. *** For poop scoop / yard clean up, I do bring my husband or an assistant or two [both of my assistants are adult females.] My assistants will come to help and I am also showing them the business side of things. Whether or not they decide to branch out on their own is up to them!
What happens if you (Everything Zen K9 LLC) have an emergency? Who will care for my pets?
I will do everything in my power to ensure the regular ups and downs of life do NOT interfere with the quality, consistent care of your pets. It is extremely rare that I will not be able to make a scheduled visit. It has not happened yet, and I do not intend to allow it to ever happen. The care of your pets and home are my priority. If something does happen mid-services, I will contact you immediately and we can discuss if you are comfortable having my husband or one of my assistants fill in for me. As stated, this is incredibly rare. As of 1/1/19, it has never had to happen. This business has been running since early 2015.
What happens if there is an emergency with my pet?
At our initial consultation, you will give me the information of your pet's veterinarian. If your pet has an issue that I deem an emergency, I will call you (or a personal emergency contact) while I am en route to your pet's primary veterinarian as an emergency case. If your pet's veterinarian cannot see your pet, I will bring your pet to a clinic of my choosing. I am not responsible for any fees incurred. The safety of your pet and home are my main concern. If I feel it is necessary to bring an animal in as an emergency case, I can only apologize in advance. I will use my best judgment, and as stated, I will contact you or a personal emergency contact to explain the situation.
What happens if there is an emergency with my home?
As above, you will provide emergency contacts. Depending on the situation, I will contact your or one of your emergency contacts, or I may phone the police department first. If, say, your home has been burglarized, I will contact the police department first and foremost. If I enter your home, and my evaluation rings alarm bells, I will contact you or an emergency contact.
What if my pet has become destructive, and has damaged my property in any way?
I enter and exit your home exactly how I find it (unless there are small messes I am capable of cleaning up, of course!) I assume no responsibility for damages caused by your pets. This includes, but is not limited to: clawing, chewing up furniture, wires, etc, scratching, digging, dogs with free access to the yard (especially when left alone) escaping, stained carpets, etc. I will do everything I can to clean up messes I find on my visit(s). I will not use anything on your carpets, as I do not know what will harm and damage them. I am able to pick up, or blot up a mess only. I will not use chemicals on wooden floors, or anything I think might be damaged by a chemical or anything stronger than plain water and *maybe* a little dish soap. I also assume no responsibility for any injuries your pets may incur when I am not present in the home, i.e. chewed up something and it resulted in a blockage or any other scenario that you could possibly think of, and all those that you cannot. Life and pets are unpredictable. I can only be responsible for what happens while I am present in your home and with your pets.
How do I get started with Everything Zen K9 LLC?

Are overnight visits available?
Yes, but they are often incredibly limited. Overnight visits occur between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am. I will come to your home at or around 7:00pm and I will stay with your pet(s) until around 7:00am. I will care for your pets, and love on them so that they do not feel lonely while you are away. This visit will cost $45 and you are allowed to tell me what parts of your home I can and cannot access. Of course, bathroom access is expected! :) I bring my own food, and I do not leave any trash or anything in your home. If you need extra visits because you will be away longer than just the 12 hour visit, I can schedule more visits for their standard fee(s).
I did not receive a Concierge Release Form with my contract. What gives?
Concierge Release Forms are only for those living in apartment complexes, inside of gated communities where there is an on-site security guard or manager, etc. It is a form that grants me permission to enter your complex, community, etc. and take care of your property and pets. It is a form that I bring to the office or equivalent, and have them fill it out. If you want a copy for your records, please do not hesitate to ask for one! :)
Do you offer any discounts?
Of course! :)
If you refer a friend, and they schedule at least one visit after their initial consultation, you get one free standard pet sitting visit or dog walk (up to 3 dogs from the same household!) I appreciate my clients, and I want to show them how much it means to me, that they think of me!
Rescue Discount!
As of 1/1/19, I will be offering a 20% discount for those involved in rescue or for those who have adopted a pet!
[ * Must provide adoption papers at initial consultation. Or if you run a rescue or foster for one, must provide proof of some sort during initial consultation to qualify for this discount. I want to show you how much you are truly appreciated for saving lives either through adoption, foster, or rescuing full time! * ]
